This site's prime objective is to display photos of the pictures taken during the race meetings covered by KartingPhotography. As we are based in Bangkok, with no less than four championships in Thailand (the "National" organised by the Kart Association of Thailand, the Thai Open, SKT or Superkart and the Rotax Max Challenge), plus the AKOC regional championship and the CIK-FIA races held in Asia, like the Suzuka World Cup in Japan and the Asia-Pacific Championship for SKF and KF3 in Macau, we have many opportunities to take pictures!
KartingPhotography's second objective is to provide news about the karting scene in Asia and Europe
You will find in Karting Photography:
- comments about the races, with, whenever technically possible (detailed data is necessary), a summary table of the race day mentioning, for each class, the podium winners but also the qualif and heat results, and the drivers with the best lap in each heat.
- news about karting in Asia and in Europe (through detailed reports on the WSK Series and the CIK-FIA races)
We have launched the KartingPhotography Fighting Spirit Challenge, an innovative way to present the result we think. Our results tables allow you to identify at a glance the drivers who have gained (or lost) most positions in the pre final and in the final. We have a Fighting Spirit Challenge based on the WSK Series and another one based on the AKOC Asian Championship in association with VROOM, the leading Italian karting magazine. Check the drivers who demonstrate the highest Fighting Spirit qualities during the CIK, WSK and AKOC meetings, they are the ones you would like to have in your racing team.
KartingPhotography.com's goal was to contribute to make the Asian karting scene better known regionally and internationally and the International and regional scenes better known in Asia. It was ambitious but with the web we felt that anything was possible and we immediately had some success on that road. Through the regular contribution of KartingPhotography to VROOM International, which started soon after our website was launched, Asian karting has increased its exposure on the international scene.
The 2007 CIK Asia-Pacific Championship in Macau is the meeting which inspired the creation of KartingPhotography at the beginning of the 2008 season and in October 2009 we have been proud to be official photographer at the World Karting Championship which was also held in Macau.
While we were at it we built up a Driver Profile section and we now have (April 2010) more than 350 drivers in the database, a majority of them with a picture gallery! So another goal of KartingPhotography is to have the best karting drivers database on the web. You can help us reaching that goal by sending your information.
